Week 15 - April 27 - May 1:

  • CHECK OUT THESE LINKS for simulations to show vector fields in 2D and 3D and another (emstatic) in 2D. The site showing the falling superconducting ring (and other cool simulations) is here.

  • OFFICE HOURS THIS WEEK: Monday office hours will be in the tutorial bay, G2B77, from 3-4pm and 5-6pm. Tuesday office hours are in the same location and run from 4-6:00pm. If you cannot come to one of these sessions, send me an email, and I'll try to find another time. This week the Monday and Tuesday office hours will be run by Prof. Dubson.

  • FINAL EXAM on SATURDAY MAY 2 at 1:30pm: The exam will be comprehensive in its coverage of the course material and will not especially emphasize the material since the last midterm exam. Old exams are posted on the CULearn site. Prof. Kinney will hold extra office hours on Friday afternoon from 3-5pm (also possibly on Thursday afternoon, if there is sufficient interest). The formula sheet for the final is here.

  • WRITTEN HOMEWORK: HW#13 is due this week on April 29th, in class as usual. The problems can be found at the assignments link (always available on the sidebar). No late HW will be accepted this week, as the solutions will be posted immediately after Wednesday's class.

  • READING: This week we will review for the exam as well as look forward to the topics of next semester's PHYS3320. Browse through Chapters 7-12, to see what catches your interest.

  • TUTORIALS: The tutorials sessions are finished for this semester. All past tutorials are posted on the assignments page.

  • HW SOLUTIONS: Solutions to HW1 - HW13 are posted on our CULearn page.
