New CAPA policy!: You can now turn in your CAPA assignments on paper or on computer. If you turn in CAPA by paper, you must obey these rules.

Please read these updated CAPA instructions.

Go to the CAPA HomePage! CAPA glitch alert: If you get the "Cannot access class directory" message, your internet connection is having trouble. To fix this, exit CAPA, quit your Web Browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) and then reopen the Browser and logon to CAPA again. This should fix the problem.

If there is any problem with CAPA (internet traffic too high or CAPA won't accept an answer you think is correct), you can send in CAPA answers, before the deadline, by regular email to capa@colorado.edu . In your email, please specify the question numbers and the answers exactly as you would type them into CAPA. Don't forget to include your name, id number, and email address, and please send your answers before the deadline.

The lowest CAPA score of the semester will be dropped from the average CAPA score. Late CAPA assignments cannot be accepted because CAPA posts the solutions on the Web, two hours after the due deadline.

There is a problem with viewing the solutions from previous CAPA sets. If you click "View previous set", you can see the numerical answers but not the units. You can see the correct units in the solutions.

Frustrated because CAPA won't accept your "correct" answers? Check this list of common mistakes.

There is a mistake in the lecture notes, Ch.4, p.10, bottom of the page! In computing the x-component of the net force, I left out the x-component of the mg force!
