Homework assignments

I will assign homework problems every week. They will be due at the end of the class period each Friday and will be returned to you the following week as soon as they are graded. You may hand them in early if you cannot attend the class on Friday. You may also leave them in my mailbox (next to the Department of Physics office) at anytime before 4 pm on the Friday when they are due.

I will post the solutions to the problems in each assignment a few days after it is due to be handed in. You can find these solutions by looking at the appropriate entry on the course web page.

In general, I will choose problems from the textbook, although I may occasionally substitute similar problems of my own.

There will be no homework assignment during the week when there is an exam in this course.

The homework problems will count 20% towards your final grade.
