700 feet down the front of Hoover Dam. The hydroelectric station at the Hoover Dam was designed to produce a peak power output of just over 2 Gigawatts, enough to power roughly 60% of southern California and Nevada. This type of power source is based on the table-top experiments of Michael Faraday, performed 100 years prior to the Hoover Dam's construction. A well performed experiment can have extraordinary influence on people. |
