Pale Blue Dot

Congratulations! You have nearly completed this semester of physics 1120! Ponder this image of the Earth (the dot in the middle) as seen from 3.7 billion miles away by the Voyager 1 spacecraft. It is through photons that we know the universe, and it is through photons that the universe knows us, sitting here, on our pale blue dot.

Week 16 Highlights:

Lectures this week complete optics and review the course.

Please provide feedback on PHYS 1120 by completing the CLASS survey.

Final Exam is NEXT WEEK: Wed. May 7, 4:30P to 7P, 10AM lecture takes the exam in G1B20, 1PM lecture takes the exam in G1B30. Same places we've taken regular semester exams

We have posted an Approx Score on CULearn. This approx score assumes that you will receive a final exam score equal to the average of your first three exams. None of the missing HWK or CAPA or tutorial attend or pretests have been dropped. We will drop one of each of these for everyone. Look at our grade details page to see what your approx score might mean in terms of letter grade.

1) Tutorial Homework for Convex Lenses, HW book pages 139 and 140. Due in recitation, April 29.
2) CAPA homework Set 15 (online, due Friday May 2 at 10PM)
