Congratulations on completing this semester of
physics 1120! I leave you with this image of the Earth (the dot in the middle) as seen from 3.7 billion miles away by the Voyager 1 spacecraft. It is through photons that we know the universe, and it is through photons that the universe knows us, sitting here, on our pale blue dot.

Special notes:
- The usual weekly pretest (Due Tuesday morning, Dec 12) will stay "live" past the deadline in case you forgot to do it - you still have a chance!
- There is also an optional (extra credit) survey available this week, designed and run by the Physics Education Research group. Pease fill it in, it's very useful information for us! Thanks. (Note that this is different from the pretest)
- CAPA #14 is now out in the bins, and we will also give a little extra time for that one, it will be due on Friday evening (Dec 15), basicallythe end of the term. Last homework, yay!
- No more Tutorial homeworks due, woo-hoo!
- Final exam is 7:30-10 PM, on Dec. 19 (Tues). It will be all multiple choice. Rooms are the same as we've done for midterms!
