Every week you need to complete a "pretest": basic questions about
course material which will be the main focus of the week's tutorial/recitation
section. It is due before 8 AM on
the Thursday of your recitation.
You get credit simply for participating (it will be part of your participation
grade from your tutorials) - we look over your pretests but will not grade them
for correctness. Think carefully about the questions, but we won't ask you take
more than 15 minutes on this. The pretest is a guide to what we expect you to
know after completing the tutorial. You will be expected to know this material
afterwards, and questions like them will appear on exams.
