October 1:
1) HW#6 is posted. It's due on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at midnight. There will be
a special help session on Tuesday afternoon from 3-6 pm.
2) HW#7 will be due the following SATURDAY (Oct. 11) at midnight instead of
the usual Friday. Next week's help sessions will be on Wed., Thurs., and Friday at the usual time.
3) HW#3 & 4 corrections are due Wednesday, Oct. 8th. Remember, the requirement is you must explain the error in your answer and your original
reasoning, and explain why the correct reasoning for the problem makes sense.
4) A Reminder: The university now has an honor code policy. We have observed some students clicking in for a fellow student who was absent that
day. This IS a form of cheating and we will take your names down and report you if we observe this in class again.

How to get points in Physics 1010:
Homeworks: due Fridays at midnight; posted Mondays by noon; use online submission form.
Clickers: points given for (1) attendance, (2) reading quizzes, (3) graded questions.
Hour exams: worth 30 points each
Final exam: worth 60 points
Extra credit: due Mondays by 4:00 pm; use online submission form.
All hour exams are Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in Duane G1B20.
Final exam is Tuesday, December 16, 7:30-10:10 AM!!!
Important Dates:
August 25: First day of classes
September 1: Labor Day. University closed; no classes.
September 3: Add Deadline. 5:00 pm deadline to add a course without instructor's signature.
September 3: Wait List deadline. 5:00 pm deadline to add your name to a course wait list.
September 10: Drop deadline. 5:00 pm deadline to drop a course without instructor's signature.
September 12: 5:00 pm deadline to add a course without petitioning your dean. Need instructor's signature on special action form.
October 2-3: Fall break. No classes
October 6: Deadline for students who have three or more final exams on the same day to make arrangements to change their final exam schedule.
October 8: 5:00 pm deadline to drop a course without petitioning your dean.
November 27-28: Thanksgiving holiday. No classes.
December 1: Registration begins for Spring 2004.
December 11: Last day of classes for fall 2003.
