So you need to make a widget but were to begin . . . .

This isn't you typical lecture class. You don't just take notes and go home. This is active learning at its best.

Thus our motto: Safety … Safety … Safety.

This hands-on course emphasis' keeping your hands on! All right - there's a lot more than that. Here's a sample of some of the most valuable information, next to putting your tools away when your done, you will ever learn.

  • Care and use of those big, powerful milling and lathe machines.
  • How to talk machinist 'shop' talk.
  • Some very good how-to's.
  • Trouble shooting when it comes to the all-important (yet always overlooked) art of measuring.
  • The "ins and out's" of shop thingamajigs, vises, micrometers, depth gages, calipers to name just a few.
  • Choosing the right material for the perfect outcome.

Class Details:

  • Cost: $200.00
  • Classes are small - up to 6 students per class.
  • One week long - 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
  • Graduates receive a Risk Management Safety Card, which grants you access to use the shop facilities after class (we know you still need to get those prototypes made and need a place to make them)
  • Classes fill-up very fast!
