Through the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates program, JILA and the Department of Physics the University of Colorado hosted 12 REU students for the summer of 2008.
The REU program gives undergraduates the opportunity to do cutting-edge research outside the classroom. Each student will be placed in a separate research group, which typically includes a lead professor, postdocs, and graduate students.
