The JILA Physics Frontier Center Partnerships for Informal Science Education in the Community (PISEC) Program provides opportunities for university students (undergraduates, graduate students, and post docs) to teach inquiry-based science activities to K-12 populations that are underrepresented in science.

At PISEC, we conduct cutting-edge research on after-school science outreach programs through a partnership with the Physics Education Research group at CU Boulder (PER@C). Assessments on the impact of participation on both children and university educators have been very promising.

Here, you will be able to find information for prospective undergraduate, graduate student and post-doc teaching opportunities, undergraduate research opportunities, a description of our research, information on our group members, our papers and publications, links to other education groups, and more.
