Collection of Concept Tests from CU Boulder
Below are some concept tests used at CU Boulder in introductory
classes. These have been, for the most part, created by Michael Dubson
and Steven Pollock. (Warning: some have been cribbed from Eric
Mazur's book on "Peer Instruction", so it's up to you to seek
permission if you want to use those in any public or commercial
forum)
We will be delighted if you can use any of these in your courses. We'd
appreciate hearing from you if do! Similarly, if you modify/improve
them (or find "bugs"), we'd like to know about that too, so we can keep
these links up-to-date and constantly improving. Please contact Steven.Pollock@colorado.edu
Zipped Word docs
THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
We're working on ways to allow you to find concept tests from our collections based on
course, topic, author, and format. But
in the meantime, below are zipped collections of what we have.
We are believers in the
"shareware" model of educational materials - use what you need, ask you
like.
Please return the
favor by sending us improved materials, and reference us when it seems
appropriate!
Note: the files below are still very raw
(let us know if there are major typos
or corrections) We're working on it
If you download and use these in your class we'd love to hear
about it, send us a quick email.
