When I try to logon, the machine says either my CAPA ID or my student ID is not valid:

Remember to choose your course in the pull-down menu before you logon.

If you were enrolled or waitlisted for your class prior to the first day the semester, then you were automatically registered in  CAPA.  If you enrolled in your class late, then you must register on CAPA using the online CAPA registration.  You are NOT automatically enrolled in CAPA when you late enroll in the class.

I can't find my CAPA assignment in the CAPA dispensory in the basement.

Remember: there are several courses (phys1000, 1010, 1020, 1110, 1120, 2010, 2020, etc.) using CAPA. Be sure you are looking at the correct bulletin board.

Check the slots above and below your slot. Sometimes students inadvertantly put the assignments back in the wrong slot.

You can get your CAPA pin number by using the CAPA pin getter at the bottom of the CAPA logon page.  Your pin number will be emailed to you. You can then logon and see the questions on the screen.

I am entering the correct answer, but CAPA keeps saying it is wrong.
Please recognize that you are a mortal human being, not a god, and you are capable of error.  About 4 to 10 times a week, we receive reports from students who claim that CAPA is wrong.  In every single one of these cases in the last 4 years, CAPA has been correct and the student has been wrong.  Please be aware that almost all the problems used in CAPA assignments have been checked many thousands of times

Part of my CAPA assignment appears on my computer screen, but part is cut off with the message "Transfer interrupted".

This happens when you hit any key or click with the mouse while the page is downloading. Sometimes, when internet traffic is high, it may take many seconds or even a minute to download the whole page. Downloading is not complete until you see the message "Document: Done" at the bottom of the screen. If you touch anything on your keyboard, your PC interrupts the transfer to service the keyboard command. Moral: be patient, don't click anything till you see "Document: Done".
