Eric Chwang ERIC CHWANG works mainly in applied ethics, but also has interests in normative ethics, political philosophy, and the philosophy of language. His research has so far focused on paternalism and the role of consent in ethics. He has also written on the training needed for competence in clinical ethics consultation. He is presently continuing his research program of defending the primacy of consent in the ethics of permissibility.
