Schellenberg
J. L.
Schellenberg obtained a DPhil in Philosophy from Oxford University in
1990, and in 1993 his book Divine Hiddenness and Human Reason was
published by Cornell University Press, launching the contemporary debate
in philosophy on the hiddenness of God. He has published a number of
papers on the hiddenness problem, and also on the problem of evil, the
problem of religious diversity, and other topics in the philosophy of
religion. In 2005, Cornell will publish his Prolegomena to a
Philosophy of Religion, the first in a series of three books aimed at
reconciling reason and religion.
Daniel
Howard-Snyder
Daniel Howard-Snyder (PhD Syracuse) is Professor of Philosophy at Western Washington University. He formerly taught at Seattle Pacific University. He is the editor of Evidential Arguments from Evil and the co-editor of Divine Hiddenness. His published work includes numerous papers on various themes in epistemology and the philosophy of religion.
C. Stephen
Evans
C. Stephen Evans (Ph.D. Yale) is
University Professor of Philosophy and Humanities at Baylor University. He
formerly taught at Calvin College, where he was the first Spoelhof
Teacher-Scholar and at St. Olaf College, where he was Curator of the Hong
Kierkegaard Library. He has authored 16 books, the latest of which is
Kierkegaard's Ethic of Love: Divine Commands and Moral Obligations
(Oxford University Press). Evans has published over 60 professional
articles and has received two NEH Fellowships, as well as a major award
from the Pew Charitable Trusts. He has served as President of the
Kierkegaard Society of North America and the Society of Christian
Philosophers.
