We are pleased to share that PISEC, the Partnerships for Informal Science Education in the Community, has been selected by the CU Boulder Outreach Committee as one of the recipients for 2017-2018 of the CU Boulder Outreach Awards!  The proposal, Computation-Based Education Curricula for PISEC, will allow for the creation of curricula designed to facilitate student exploration of 21st-century physics tools such as programming, data collection and reduction, and electronics -- all within the playful, informal framework of the PISEC program.  We are pleased to be working with SparkFun electronics and the Center for STEM Learning to develop the curriculum.  Press release can be found here.
