Gene Tyner, Sr.

Gene is President of TKS Consulting, Inc., an economic consulting firm that provides economic-loss studies prepatory to testimony in litigation matters.

He is also director of The Oklahoma Institute for a Viable Future (OIVF), a public-interest education and research group in Norman, Oklahoma. OIVF was formed shortly after the so-called "oil crisis" and the publication of Forrester's work, and later Limits to Growth. OIVF is comprised of some faculty and emeritus faculty of The University of Oklahoma and other community activists, individuals in the group have published articles in local journals and newspapers challenging environmentally-destructive policies and projects. They also conducted public forums at the outbreak of the Gulf War.

For example, early on, he challenged Public Service of Oklahoma's (PSO) claim that the Black Fox Nuclear Plant would cost approximately $7.9 billion, rather then PSO's claimed $2.39 billion (approx) cost. Several years later, when plant construction was canceled and PSO wanted cost recovery PSO experts testified the plant would have cost about $7.8. billion.
