Alcohol and Drug Use Among CU-Boulder Undergraduates
College Alcohol Study 2008 Results

A modified version of the original College Alcohol Study questionnaire was administered in April 2008 by the Alcohol and Other Drugs Program at CU-Boulder. This is a noteworthy change in procedure, in that prior college alcohol surveys, from 1993-2005, were administered by Harvard University staff. During this period, Harvard also generated reports of the survey results and sent the reports to CU-Boulder and other participating colleges and universities.

The modified questionnaire was administered to a sample of 2,500 degree-seeking CU-Boulder undergraduates, 18 years of age or older, living either on or off campus, who had not requested that a privacy flag be placed on their records. The sample, drawn by PBA, had proportionate representation over college/school, class level, whether students resided on or off campus, and gender.

A total of 601 undergraduates responded, representing 24% of the total number of students surveyed. Results are shown below.
