Nontraditional Student Survey - Fall 1997

Results - Problems with Various Areas

Students were asked to indicate the extent to which they were currently having any problems with each of 11 areas.

  • Students reported having the most problems with balancing all their activities, having enough money for living expenses, finding time for recreational activities/exercise, and having access to campus services and offices at convenient times.
    • 22-35% reported "major" problems with these areas; 13-28% reported "no" problems with these areas.
  • Students reported having the fewest problems with adjusting to college life, finding places to relax on campus, and finding places to study on campus.
    • 56-64% reported "no" problems with these areas; 12% or fewer reported "major" problems with these areas.
