2012 Senior Survey
Background and Method
We regularly ask seniors about their satisfaction with their educational
experiences at CU-Boulder and
about their after-graduation plans for employment, further education, and
other activities. Our goal is to provide systematic information for:
- academic and service units to use in planning and improvement
- the Boulder campus to use in meeting requirements for institutional
accountability
- use by the state and by prospective and current students and their
families
Data collection for the Senior Survey began on March 13, 2012,
when we sent seniors e-mail from the Provost explaining the purpose of the
Senior Survey and inviting them to complete the
web-based
questionnaire. As we did for the
2008 Senior Survey,
we invited all eligible seniors to take part in the survey. Seniors who completed a
questionnaire are eligible to win one of two $500 awards.
The 7,646 seniors invited to take part in the survey:
- are degree-seeking students enrolled with a minimum of six credit hours
- have senior class standing, including students in concurrent
bachelor's/master's programs now classified as master's
students
We excluded from the population:
- students who entered in spring 2012
- transfer exchange students
- students enrolled exclusively through continuing education
- students who requested that their personal directory
information be kept private
