Senior Survey, Spring 2008

Prospective Employment, Further Education, and Other New AAUDE Items -- Results for Entire Campus and by College/A&S Division

These items are presented here to provide additional information beyond that available in the by-college-and-major Excel. The "principal activity" item is from the Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA), and the remainder, new this year, are from the AAUDE Senior Survey, designed by the American Association of Universities Data Exchange (AAUDE).

Some, but not all, of these items are included in the Excel. Unlike the results in the Excel, however, all numeric responses for the items below have been translated to verbal response options (e.g., 5 = "Very well"). In addition, an asterisk (*) next to an item name indicates that:  1) the table of results for that item contains a link to verbatim responses for an "other" response option, organized by college/division and major, and 2) some responses to the "other" option have been re-classified. For example, if a senior marked "other, please specify below" in response to the closed item "What is most likely to be your principal activity upon graduation," and typed "Air Force" in the "other activity" text box, then his/her response would be reclassified to "military service," which is one of the response options to the closed item. Because of the reclassification of responses, the n-counts and percentages shown in this section for "principal activity," "organization or sector," and "occupation category" will not match exactly those of the Excel. Results in the Excel have not been reclassified in this manner.
