Graduate Student Survey 2005

1 This is also known as an effect size and represents the difference between two means in terms of standard deviation units. A general rule of thumb for interpreting effect sizes is that an effect size of 0.2 indicates a small difference, 0.5 indicates a medium difference, and 0.8 indicates a large difference.
