RESPONDENTS VERSUS NONRESPONDENTS

Response rates by various respondent characteristics were examined to determine whether certain groups of students were more or less likely to return a questionnaire than other groups (see table below). The table shows demographic and academic characteristics for the total sample and for respondents and nonrespondents.

Only one significant difference emerged between respondents and nonrespondents; respondents are more likely to be female. Respondents do not differ by race/ethnicity, by college, or by cumulative grade point average.
