The Community Survey included two items asking about students' familiarity with the demands and their assessment of progress made on the demand issues. The questions are: "Are you familiar with the list of 'seven demands' presented to the administration last Spring by the Collective, a coalition of student activists?" "To what extent do you feel that progress is being made on the issues addressed in the demands?" Few students were aware of the demands--80% of all respondents stated that they were unfamiliar with them. Because the number of students in each racial/ethnic group aware of the demands is extremely small, it is impossible to examine differences by group. Also, of the 45 students who did say they were familiar with the demands, 9 students did not go on to answer the progress question and another 18 said they "don't know" how much progress has been made. Therefore, it is also impossible to look at how the ethnic groups differ in their perceptions of progress on the demands. Overall, 74% of the 27 students who both claimed familiarity with the demands and commented on progress report that they believe no progress is being made on the demands at all, and another 22% report that some progress is being made. Only 4% (one student) perceives that substantial progress ("very much") is being made. University of Colorado at Boulder Community Survey
