Top States - Where CU-Boulder Undergraduates & New Freshman Come From
From fall 2012 census
Beginning in 2011 the state of the student at the time of application to CU-Boulder was used.
If this could not be found then the students' current permanent mailing address was used.
Previous years files used the students' current permanent mailing address only.
Note that there were 24,192 undergraduate students. 648 students were international (and not living in the U.S. at the time of application)
and there were an additional 100 students that we could not determine.
This leaves a total of 23,444 students that are from a U.S. state, district or territory.
(e.g. Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam).
