  • The 2005-06 Current Funds budget for CU-Boulder totals approximately $874 million.
  • Six categories of revenues are included in the campus budget:
    • Gifts, Grants and Contracts: $309 million
    • Tuition and Fees: $335 million
    • Auxiliary Revenues: $110 million
    • State Appropriations: $57 million
    • Indirect Cost Recoveries: $52 million
    • Other Revenues: $11 million
  • Eight categories of expenditures are included in the campus budget:
    • Instruction, Academic Support, and Student Services: $386 million
    • Research: $200 million
    • Scholarships/Fellowships: $61 million
    • Auxiliary Operations: $101 million
    • Institutional Support: $32 million
    • Plant: $44 million
    • Transfers: $47 million
    • Public Service: $3 million

  • Typical tuition rates* at CU-Boulder per semester are:
    Undergraduate resident (1) $2,223
    Undergraduate non-resident $10,950
    Graduate resident $3,015
    Graduate non-resident $10,755

    (1) FY2005-06 resident undergraduate tuition represents the student share after College Opportunity Fund (COF).

  • In addition to tuition, students pay $463 in mandatory fees per semester for a variety of services.
  • On-campus housing costs for 2005-06 are $3,990 per semester per student for a double room with a 15 or 19 meal/week plan.
