1/28/07 - Reminder/tips: Student placement/outcomes
On the student placement Excel
- Deadline extended to Wed 1/31
- Google is your friend. Many graduates can be located with Google in seconds, with position,
employer, and location. Just put your cursor on the student’s name in the List tab of the Excel,
select Edit/Copy, and paste into the Google search bar. For common names you may have to rearrange
to first-middle-last and quote; e.g., "Randal Clinton Ford.”
- I apologize for an error in the Intro-tab instructions. The students listed are, and should be,
degree recipients through spring 2006, not summer 2006. The Intro says summer. My fault.
- “Postdoc” is a legitimate “position.” If you know one of your graduates is a postdoc somewhere,
please enter that info on the Excel.
