1/25/07 - NRC Collections - NRSC, COGS

Dear Neuroscience and Cognitive Science:

You're different! All faculty on your faculty lists are categorized as Associate (or new); 90% are categorized as Core in their "home" department. And all your students have both NRSC/COGS and a "home" major as well.

Consequently, some collections from programs make sense for you, and some will not.

So far:

Faculty subfields - No Excels for NRSC/COGS; subfields for your faculty will come from the home program.

Student placement - We DID produce Excels for you listing your PhD recipients, on the chance that you had placement info that the home dept did not. Not sure why I thought that. Fine if you return them, fine if you don't - if you think the home dept has whatever placement info you do.

Coming collections

You WILL get the web questionnaire of policy questions, to launch 2/5. And you should answer. Some policy matters, especially surrounding admission, are definitely different for you than for other programs.

I think we'll produce all the remaining Excels for you as well - student tracking, student financial support, etc. Maybe not on one or two. Stay tuned.
