Introduction

Welcome to the NRC study of research doctorate programs at CU-Boulder.

Here’s what we need you to do now.  “Now” means, by August 25. 

Note: All info in this email is on the website under “What UCB programs need to do right now” with more detail.

1. Familiarize yourselves (faculty and staff contacts/coordinators), with the UCB NRC website

   http://www.colorado.edu/pba/nrc/ and read the welcome message from Susan Avery.

2. At the site, review the timetable.  Be advised that it’s tentative, largely due to NRC delays in issuing final instruments and guidelines.

3. Prepare to determine your “other field” selections, if any.  We’ve put detailed instructions on how to do this on the website under “What UCB programs need to do right now.” 

4. Add, change, delete, and/or approve your “other field” selection(s).  We must have program approval even if no "other" fields are to be listed.  Again, detailed instructions are on the website. 

The steering committee may modify some additional field selections for consistency or strategic reasons.  We’ll consult directly with any programs where we do so.

We will send two additional messages to all coordinators/contacts today, with

·          Login and password to the private website portion for approvals and submission of this and other info

·          Login and password to an AAU data exchange site (which we are running) showing programs and field assignments at other AAU schools.
