Material in this section, "Details on FCQ Statistics," refers to FCQ results for three different periods:

• Fall 2006 and terms thereafter,
• Terms from fall 1992 through summer 2006, and
• Terms prior to fall 1992.

Subentries, listed below, cover both definitions and general guidelines on interpretation.

Section reports fall 2006 and later

• Sample section report
• Annotated section report:  contains links to explanations of such statistics as average, median, correlation, percentile, etc. Also contains links to explanations of the section report graphs.
• A printable sample report annotated with brief explanations, which we included with each paper section report for fall 2006, is also available.
• Converting old ratings from pre-fall 2006 to the current rating scale: the equation to use.

Note that the sample reports above are based on the FCQ items used on the Boulder and Colorado Springs campuses. Because UCDHSC uses different FCQ items, section reports for that campus will differ somewhat from the examples shown here.

Section reports fall 1992 through summer 2006

• Statistics for the section itself:   average and median ratings, standard deviations, etc.
• Statistics comparing the section to the department and campus:   differences in group averages and percentiles
• Guide to using FCQ results:  information on multi-year summaries of results (for FCQs from fall 1992 through summer 2006 only).
