Online FCQ processing: Email messages to students

Up to 3 messages per student per term

Overview

Each email is customized for the student in the term, and goes to just one student.

An email for a student taking one course evaluated online contains two URL's, or links. The first has the course number and student's pass code number embedded in it. If the student clicks on that link, the form for the correct course section appears in a browser, ready for completion, labeled with the course number, section number, and instructor name.

If that link does not work (usually because it's been separated into multiple lines by the student's email reader), the student can click on the other link. The resulting page shows a list of all course sections with online FCQ administration for that campus and term. The student must select the correct course section and enter by hand the pass code that was sent by email. Alternately, he may enter his birth date and the last four digits of his student ID. For an example, see http://fcq.colorado.edu/ucb_fcq.htm.
