Motorcycle permits
Permits
Motorcycle permits for the CU-Boulder campus are available at the PTS customer service window. A photo ID and vehicle license plate number are required at the time of purchase. Permits are available with a choice of expiration dates at an approximate cost of $15.25 per month.
There are two types of motorcycle permits, and they cost the same. One permit is lot-specific. Motorcycles displaying these permits may park in their assigned lot AND all circle M lots. The other permit is a circle M lot permit, and it allows motorcycles to park in only circle M lots. Motorcycles with a circle M lot permit may not park in the lot-specific motorcycle lots.
Scooters
All scooters, even those under 49cc's, are considered motorcycles on campus. They must follow traffic rules and, per Colorado law, be registered with the State of Colorado. State registrations may be completed in person or by mail. For more information, visit the State of Colorado's website. After receiving the state registration, a CU motorcycle permit may be purchased for on campus parking.
