Parking Permits
Please remember that your parking permit is linked only to the vehicles that you registered to it. Other vehicles using the permit are subject to citation or tow. If you decide you do not need your permit, return it to PTS for a possible refund.
Reciprocal Parking
When UC Denver, UCCS and other CU Affiliates Visit CU-Boulder:
Faculty, staff and students of the University of Colorado Denver or UCCS may park vehicles bearing valid parking permits for those campuses in the following CU-Boulder parking lots:
Parking in all other lots requires a fee. This agreement is not effective when events are held at UCB.
The Reciprocal Parking agreement among CU campuses applies to parking only when on official university business or when students attend classes on other campuses. Your home campus parking permit, if you have one, must be displayed in your vehicle's window. If you do not have a parking permit to display, you may buy an extended use affiliate permit at our 1050 Regent Drive customer service window. If you never purchased a permit through your home campus, please visit our Visitor/Short-term Parking page for parking options.

Forgotten Permits
If you have purchased a parking permit and have forgotten to bring it to campus, PTS can assist you. Please call our Business Office (303-492-7384) with your license number, a description of your car, and your permit lot number.
Lost / Stolen Permits
We advise that you file a police report if your permit is stolen or you lose it. If you report your permit lost or stolen, it will be cancelled and may not be used by another person or by you in the event that it is recovered. To obtain a new permit, read, complete and sign the Parking Permit Replacement Application form. Make a copy for your records, and bring the completed form and a photo ID to 1050 Regent Drive for your replacement permit. You will be charged a small administrative fee. Any other arrangement must be made ahead of time by calling 303-492-7384.
Emissions compliance
Motor vehicle emissions testing is part of the State of Colorado's overall strategy to improve air quality around the state. The University of Colorado at Boulder is located within the state's emissions control program area. Vehicles operated by residents of the program area are required to undergo emissions inspections.
Legal residents of other states who live or work in the program area more than 90 days in a calendar year must comply with area requirements.
More information can be obtained by calling the Air Care Colorado hotline at 303-456-7090, or by accessing their web site. Emissions control inspection requirements are detailed in Colorado Revised Statute 42-4-310, and penalty fines may be assessed for non-compliance with the emissions control law.
