Campus Construction

CU-Boulder is experiencing a period of growth and infrastructure improvement. As we receive information about new and continuing projects, we will provide getting around updates to help you access campus.

Construction Projects

Regent Crossing
This project which closed Regent Drive to elevate a portion of roadway is nearing completion. Traffic moves well along the elevated road. Bicyclists and pedestrians cross Regent Drive at the original street level through a 24' tunnel. Separating motor vehicles from peds and cyclists has already improved safety. Buses have resumed service along Regent Drive.

Center for Community

The Center for Community will house student programs, support services, and a large residential dining area. A two-level underground parking garage will create additional parking space. View maps of pedestrian detours and bicycle detours.

Permit holders for lots 327 and 335 have been reassigned to nearby lots. PTS has made every effort to reassign parkers without causing overcrowding although problems may still occur. Please access your overflow lot if necessary, and let us know by email at parkingpermits@colorado.edu. We will monitor use patterns and make adjustments as needed.

Commuting Tips

  • To help you plan, read published messages about campus construction.
  • PTS will notify the campus of road closures and parking lot changes.
  • Consider using alternative transportation to commute to campus. Ride the bus for free with your student bus pass or Eco Pass, ride your bike, carpool, walk, or combine these modes. More information is available at our Commuting and Getting Around CU pages.
