How to Pay a Citation
If you have received a parking citation, it must be paid or appealed within five business days of the issue date. Acceptable payment methods are credit card (by phone or at Customer Service Window), check (by mail, Customer Service Window or after-hours drop box), and cash (at the Customer Service Window only).
Failure to pay the citation prior to the close of the fifth business day will result in a $5 penalty assessment. Additional $5 penalties will be assessed in each PTS billing thereafter, to a maximum of double the initial citation amount (unless otherwise stated on the citation).
How to Appeal a Citation
Appeals must be filed before closing of the PTS office on the fifth business day after the date of the issuance of the citation. To appeal the citation, you must completely fill out the citation appeals form. The form contains important additional information such as the criteria for appeal so please take the time to read it. The form is also available at the PTS Business Office.
