Football

Public Parking

  • Parking for all stadium events costs $20.
  • Parking lots open for football games four hours before kick-off. As you enter campus, attendants and police will direct you.
  • Campus parking is limited. Please arrive an hour before kickoff to ensure space availability.
  • Allow yourself extra travel time as traffic may be heavy.
  • When a football game ends, 45 minutes of heavy outgoing traffic takes precedence over gaining access to main campus.

CU Students, Faculty, and Staff Parking

Permit holders

CU-Boulder parking permits will be honored in their assigned lot during football games based on space availability. (Some exceptions exist; see below for details.) Permit holders displaced from their lots will be directed to alternate campus parking locations.

Exceptions

  • Parking permit holders (including X permit holders) for all lots near Folsom Stadium (lots 169, 358, 360, 365, 378, 386, 390, 391, 394, 396 and 420) will be directed to alternate campus parking locations beginning about six hours before, during, and about two hours after a game.
  • Campus Department Business permits, Vendor permits, Worksite permits and Emergency permits are NOT honored for personal parking during football games.

No permit?

If you do not have a parking permit, please go to the public parking areas described above.

After the game

  • Due to the high-volume of traffic in the first 45 minutes after a game, we advise you to avoid driving into campus then.
  • Permit holders who must drive into campus during post game traffic are asked to enter at Regent Drive from NORTHBOUND Broadway. Expect to find a police barricade. You will be admitted if you show the police or parking attendant your CU-Boulder main campus parking permit, and tell them that you are seeking access to your residence hall or work site. Please follow their directions.

ADA Accessibility Parking

Parking for persons with disabilities is available at the Euclid AutoPark (18th and Euclid Streets).

  • A wheelchair-accessible shuttle transports ticket holders with disabilities between Euclid AutoPark and Folsom Stadium continuously for two hours before and for one hour after the game.
  • Vehicles more than 6 feet 9 inches tall or 8 feet wide cannot enter Euclid AutoPark. If accessible parking arrangements are needed to accommodate fans in oversized vehicles, please call PTS’ Events Parking section at 303-492-7384.
  • Vehicles not displaying CU-Boulder parking permits will be charged $20 per parking space.

Athletic Donor Parking

Folsom Field policies, maps, donor parking, and more are provided at Gameday Central on the CU Athletic Department website.

Tailgating

Tailgating is allowed in campus parking lots outside of parking structures. Drivers of vehicles blocking the smooth flow of traffic or posing a safety risk may be asked to relocate.
  • State law prohibits the selling of alcoholic beverages by persons/establishments that are not in possession of a valid liquor license. "Selling" in this context means "to deliver for value or in any way other than gratuitously" (excerpt from CRS 12-47-103 {34}).
  • Distribution of alcoholic beverages by tailgaters should be limited to those persons traveling to and from the game with them. Tailgaters should not provide alcoholic beverages to visibly intoxicated persons or to anyone less than 21 years of age.
  • Alcoholic beverages may not be taken into Folsom Stadium by patrons.
  • Once out of the tailgating area, persons in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages may be charged with "open container" violations by police.
  • If you choose to drink alcoholic beverages, please do so responsibly:
    1. Alcohol is often a causative factor in stadium fight and disturbance calls to police.
    2. Do not drink and drive! Identify a "designated driver" for your tailgating party who will not consume alcoholic beverages.
  • There are restrictions on the items you may bring into the stadium. For information regarding stadium rules, please click here.

RV Parking

  • RV parking is available in lot 470, west of the Wolf Law building.
  • RV parking fees are $20 per space occupied. Large RVs can occupy two or three parking spaces. They are charged accordingly.
  • RVs should arrive early. They will be allowed to park only if contiguous space is available.
  • Overnight parking is not allowed on campus. To view a table of RV parking options in Boulder County, visit Boulder County RV Parking.

Limousine Parking

Attendants will direct limousines to a reserved lot. Limosines will be charged $20 per space occupied.
