Spring Commencement
2012 Spring Commencement will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at Folsom Stadium.
Department recognition ceremonies will take place Thursday, May 10 or Friday, May 12 after the large ceremony.

Thursday
- Expect traffic congestion on Regent Drive most of Thursday afternoon because of events at Coors Events/Conference Center.
- Many permit lots except those requiring a permit at all times will be open to the public, and all grey meters and pay stations will be free after 1 p.m.
Friday
- Parking and traffic personnel will direct drivers to free parking just off Regent Drive.
- Parking for persons with disabilities will be available south of Folsom Stadium off Colorado Avenue.
- Many permit lots will be open to the public, and all grey meters and pay stations will be free throughout the day. Red service meters will still require payment.
- Stadium Drive north of Dal Ward will be closed to all traffic between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on commencement day to accommodate the procession to the stadium.
Commencement Guest Shuttle on Friday
On the day of commencement, a complimentary shuttle bus service will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (in 15 minute intervals) to provide transportation to recognition ceremonies being held on campus following commencement. The shuttles will depart from Folsom Stadium and follow two routes:- Regent Loop: Balch Fieldhouse, Music/Telecom Building, UMC, Center for Community/Regent Hall, Folsom Street/Colorado Ave.
- North side Loop: Balch Fieldhouse, Music/Telecom Building/ UMC, Macky Auditorium.
Winter Commencement
The university’s winter commencement ceremony will be held at the Coors Events/Conference Center between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011. On Thursday, December 15, recognition ceremonies will also take place on campus throughout the afternoon.

- During these time frames increased traffic on campus in roadways and parking lots surrounding Coors Events/Conference Center is anticipated.
- Designated parking lots and locations near the events center will be used for commencement parking at no charge. Parking lots with signs "permit is required at all times" will not be open for public parking.
- Euclid Auto Park’s hourly rate is $1.75 for the first three hours and $3 per hour thereafter until 5 p.m. The evening rate is a flat $3 payment after 5 p.m.
- Parking for persons with disabilities will be reserved in lot 308. A courtesy shuttle will transport people to the south concourse entrance.
