Parent Events
The CU Parents Association (CUPA) sponsors a variety of excellent activities
and
programs that assist parents, students, and the university.
- Family Weekend Formally known as Parents Weekend, this event, held each fall, is recognized as one of the best of its kind in the country.
The two-day event provides a great time to visit with your student and
tour the campus and the Boulder community. Plan to attend presentations,
meet informally with faculty and staff, enjoy entertainment, and cheer
the Buffs on to a Big 12 football victory. Registration brochures are
typically sent to parents in late summer.
- Spring Parent
Receptions These receptions are an opportunity for both current and prospective CU parents to gather in an informal setting to share experiences, information, and tips about the CU-Boulder experience.
- Orientation
Dinners Each summer these enjoyable and relaxing dinners
acquaint parents of new students with CUPA and Division of Student Affairs
staff. Join us this summer!
- Summer Send Offs-Each summer current parents and alumni open their homes to welcome in the incoming class of freshmen and their parents. In 2009 there were 46 events across the country. If you are interested in hosting an event in July or August 2010, please contact Joyce Kinde at joyce.kinde@colorado.edu
