What Can Career Services Do For You and Your Student: Dr. Lisa Severy, Director of Career Services, recently gave a presentation to the CU Parents Association Board of Directors on what CU Career Services can do for our students. She also discussed the linkage between the Alumni Association's Forever Buff Initiative and Career Services. Check out her Power Point presentation. Events next week: LESSONS LEARNED: ALUMNI CAREER PANEL: April 13th, 5:00PM until 6:30PM in the UMC Aspen Rooms. LAST CAREER FAIR OF THE YEAR: April 14th, 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM in the UMC Ballroom. FREE to all CU students and alumni. Tell your student to bring their student ID and resumes. Commencement Ceremonies information held week of May 3-7, 2010. Suggest that they check out Off-Campus Student Service's new rental database where they can search for available houses, condos, apartments, and spare rooms. Student Health 101: CU’s Electronic Health Magazine: Check out current issues of SH101 and the Parent Perspective now! SH101 is a FREE, electronic monthly magazine covering a variety of issues geared toward college health including unhealthy diet and nutrition, depression, anxiety and fatigue, excessive alcohol consumption, sexual health, colds, flu, and more. You can also sign up to receive the Parent Perspective, a tailored version of SH101 especially for parents. Free Buff Bike Rentals: The Bike Station has a fleet of 60 cruiser-style Buff Bikes ready to be rented Monday-Friday free for students with id. Perfect for around campus and town, the Buff Bikes are easy-riding single speed cruisers with coaster brakes and can be rented for up to two days at a time. For dates and more go to the Office of Orientation website. Family Family Weekend 2010 is October 15, 16 and 17th and the Saturday football game will be against Baylor. Registration will start in early June 2010.
