Board of Directors

The CU Parents Association (CUPA) is manageCUPA Boardd by a board of directors and the Office of Parent Relations. The board is an active group of parent volunteers who meet on campus regularly during the academic year and is responsible for organizing all Parents Association programs and working with university administrators. In addition, CUPA board members serve on panels to answer questions from parents of prospective students.

We are always looking for enthusiastic parents to join the board and make a difference at CU!

CUPA Board members who are Colorado residents are expected to attend a minimum of 50% of all regular Board meetings; to serve on working committees; to participate in Family Weekend and summer orientations; to participate in the decision-making process; and to contribute to the Parent Fund to the best of their ability.

CUPA Board members who are non-residents of the state of Colorado are expected to attend a minimum of one regular board meeting in the fall semester and one in the spring semester; to participate in Family Weekend; to serve as a CUPA liaison or CU Parent Club nucleus in their home town; and to contribute to the Parent Fund to the best of their ability.

Our goals are to:

  • Enhance the undergraduate experience by actively participating in the university community.
  • Serve as an advocate for issues and concerns regarding the university.
  • Provide a forum for parents to ask questions and offer suggestions about university programs and services.

Meeting dates for academic year 2009-2010 are: August 22, 2009, September 12, October 17 at the University Forum, November 14th, December 5th, April 3, 2010, and May 1. Most meetings take place in the University Memorial Center (UMC) starting at 9:00 AM.
