Application Process

Step One: Download an application.

Step Two: Find a faculty mentor. BURST funds will not be granted to students without a faculty mentor. Lists of biology faculty and their research interests can be accessed by viewing the Home Pages for the Departments of (MCDB, EBIO/EEB, Department of Integrative Physiology, Center for Neuroscience, Chemistry and Biochemistry. You may also wish to read our tips for finding a faculty mentor.

Step Three: Complete an application with the assistance of your faculty mentor. Students should complete the "Student Information" section as well as questions 7-14. The faculty mentor should complete the other sections. Be sure that both the student and faculty mentor sign the final page. Submit your application on time.
