Voice Conferencing

Overview 

A voice conference, or teleconference, is a multi-point conversation using a telephone, and has only auditory capabilities. OIT provides many options for voice conferencing at CU-Boulder.

CU-Boulder Provided Services

If you would like to hold a seminar-style teleconference, OIT has a seminar room with a teleconferencing unit. Please call the IT Service Center to begin your reservation process.

OIT has partnered with CenturyLink to provide voice, video, and web conferencing at discounted rates.

Cost 
  • There is no cost to check out a voice conferencing unit from OIT, but a speedtype is required in case the unit is not returned or damaged.
  • There is no cost to use a conferencing facility.

How to get it 

Voice Conferencing Units

  • To check out a voice conferencing unit, contact the IT Service Center. You will need to pick it up at the Telecommunications Center front desk. You will need a speedtype for a damage deposit. You will also need an analog telephone line, and a power outlet 25 feet or closer to where you will place the telephone.
