Television Services
OIT distributes television signals on the campus cable TV network, and to one Boulder community channel. Videotapes, DVDs, or satellite programs may be scheduled for playback in any media-equipped classroom on campus over the campus cable distribution system.
Basic cable TV service is provided in all residence hall rooms, in residence hall TV lounges, and in all family housing apartments.
- Cable access to students in residence halls
- Playback in Technology Equipped Classrooms
- Cable access in Univesrity offices that order it by contacting the IT Service Center.
- Capturing signals from satellites
- University of Colorado programming
Cable Television is provided with no direct cost in media equipped classrooms. However, a there is $3.00 monthly fee for any CATV jack that is in a non-teaching area (student housing areas, staff offices, conference rooms or common areas). Other Television Services are directly tied to the level of service you choose.
This service is available to faculty, staff, and students.
- Residence Hall and University Apartments do not need to request cable service, it is automatically available.
- For university offices, contact the IT Service Center.
- OIT's technology equipped classrooms have cable. If you need a consultation on what cable TV has to offer for classroom instruction, contact your ATC.
