The following documentation shows the process of getting a license for OriginPro software for doing a variety of statistical analyses and data visualization.

Visit OriginLab's Website for more information and support.

This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):

Step 1

Assuming your computer is connected to the internet, you can choose to license immediately. Choose "Get a license file online now."

Step 2

OriginPro will display a window for Computer Information. The computer name (if any) and the Computer ID (a 16-character code unique to your computer) will be displayed. You provide the campus' serial number and access code.

Step 3

You will be directed to a product registration web page in your computer's browser.

Unless you have previously created an OriginLab account, you need to Create a new account.

Step 4

Provide the required information. Be sure to use your "@colorado.edu" email address.

Step 5

After your new OriginLab account is authenticated, the web site will display the text of your new license file (about a dozen lines). Copy the license file text, then run OriginPro and paste the text into its "Enter License" dialog box.

(You get this software for only one computer; to switch your license to a different computer, you must deactivate the old license. Run OriginPro and choose "Deactivate License" from the Help menu.)
