Manually Install Network Connect - Macintosh

Overview

Due to an issue with Safari 7 and Network Connect, some Mac OSX users cannot install Network Connect through the traditional installation method. To work around this issue, follow the steps below to manually install the Network Connect installation file (using either Safari or Firefox).

This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
  • MAC

Step 1

Go to https://cuvpn.colorado.edu and log in with your CU Login Name and Identikey passowrd.

Step 2

Paste the following URL in your browser (either Safari or Firefox):

https://cuvpn.colorado.edu/dana-cached/nc/NetworkConnect.dmg

Step 3

Click Save File if prompted.

Define a file location and click Save.

Step 5

Double click the DMG file.

Step 6

A new window with the installation package will open. Double click to open the file.

Note: If the window (shown below) appears you will need to go into System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and click the radio button labeled Anywhere to install the package.

Step 7

The install wizard will appear. Click Continue.

Click Install.

Note: You may be required to enter your computer credentials to install the file.

Step 9

The process will complete and Network Connect will be installed.

Step 10

Network Connect will now be accessible from your Applications folder.

Note: Go to the Network Connect Connection Instructions (Mac OS 10.7-10.9) to learn about connecting to CUVPN using Network Connect.
