Exchange - Request a Read Receipt using OWA

The following documentation explains the process of requesting a confirmation that your sent e-mail message was read, using the Outlook Web Application (OWA). To be able to do this using OWA you must be using Internet Explorer, as it is the only browser that offers the full version of OWA.

This tutorial is operating system independent.

Step 1

Go to and enter your Identikey and password.

Step 2

Create a new message, and then click Options.

Step 3

Select the check box for Request a read receipt for this message.

Step 4

Click OK.

Step 5

When your message is read you will now receive a receipt.
