This document demonstrates how to export your D2L grade book information as a roster that can be used with CUClickers' i>clicker software for Windows users.
Access your D2L course and from the Assessment drop-down menu click on Grades.
In the Export Grades window, make sure you've selected (or unselected) the following choices:
Click on the file that appears in the pop-up to download the file.
If you have the choice, choose Save File instead of opening it. The image below shows how to do this with Firefox for Windows.
Click on the file to change its name in its saved location (default is generally the Desktop).
Make sure that you rename the file to gradesexport.csv. If you do not rename the file to gradesexport.csv, then the i>clicker software will not recognize the data.
*Note: Be sure that the file is named gradesexport and is a .csv file type. Your operating system may, by default, hide the .csv file extension. If so, this may cause the file name to become gradesexport.csv.csv rather than the correct gradesexport.csv.
Move the exported file from your D2L grade book and place it in your CUClickers course folder.
*Note: The Roster.txt file is not necessary for Desire2Learn and should be deleted if present.
Open the i>clicker application, click on your course and click on My Settings.
Refer to the Course Management System section. Make sure that Desire2Learn is chosen.
After using i>clicker in your course, you can export results from the i>grader program to include in your D2L grade book.
