Service Alerts highlight planned and unplanned outages for the numerous services that OIT provides to the CU-Boulder campus (view our Service Catalog). Typically, planned or unplanned outages with a large campus impact (i.e. over ten minutes and/or impacting more than ten people) are issued as Service Alerts. Additionally, we post Service Alerts for planned and unplanned outages of University Information Services (UIS) services.
Planned outages are vital to the well-being of our services. In an effort to provide continuity of services (view our Service Level Agreements), we scheduled these outages during late evening and early morning hours as often as possible to minimize campus impact. Unplanned outages can occur for a number of reasons. We work diligently to minimize these outages as much as possible.
