Overview

AutoCAD is a CAD (Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Drafting) software application for 2D and 3D design and drafting. It is developed and sold by Autodesk, Inc.

Features

These licenses are for regular AutoCAD, not LT, and include associated Autodesk software products like Revit, Civil 3D, Raster Design, and 3ds Max Design.

Cost

OIT will help only with providing a license, at $85 per license per year, but not with installation or maintenance, tech support or training.

Who can get it

AutoCAD licenses are available, for on-campus use only, on university-owned computers, to university faculty and staff only, not to students in general.

Autodesk offers students free product downloads at http://students.autodesk.com/. These products are provided for teaching, learning and training purposes only, and are should not be used for commercial or professional purposes.

How to get it

Contact the Site Licensing office, 303-492-8995, sitelic@colorado.edu, with your request. For payment, you must provide a SpeedType (8-digit departmental account code) that OIT can charge for these fees.
