Microsoft Office is available to Boulder campus students, faculty, and staff, as an Office 365 ProPlus benefit, and to departmental computers through the underlying campus EES agreement.
Students, faculty, and staff, can use their CU-Boulder credentials to log into the Office 365 portal and download Office suite applications on their computers and mobile devices. This includes full edit-capable versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and additional applications depending on operating system.
See details and instructions posted on the Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus page.
The campus EES agreement provides licenses as a common good for select Microsoft products and upgrades. For workstations managed by OIT / Dedicated Desktop Support, the standard campus version of Office and Windows upgrades are available from our local EES download site:
For all other computers, particularly personal computers, users should download and install the Office ProPlus version mentioned above.
For other Microsoft products, such as Visio, Project, and server software, the state of Colorado has a contract with Insight to cover the Microsoft Select Plus program. Purchasing through this contract is optional to state agencies such as the University of Colorado Boulder but for Microsoft products the pricing is very good.
